Hello

I began my HR journey over 26 years ago, during the 'dot com era', as a single mom working full-time while also finishing my degree. Failure was not an option. By taking initiative, always striving to understand, and continuously learning, I became extremely skilled and knowledgeable in all areas of HR - and I've built a career in a field that I love. I've been fortunate to work with amazing small to mid-size companies that have gone through significant growth and change in a variety of industries, including software consulting, manufacturing, retail, mobile entertainment, construction, telecommunications, and pharmaceutical industries. I know how to adapt HR practices to the needs of individual companies because I understand the people side of managing a workplace, respecting and leveraging the unique individualism of each employee.

Along my journey I developed skills that can only be learned through experience: grit, passion, appreciation for continuous learning, and professional creativity. Most significantly, I've learned how to apply HR best practices in a compliant and effective way to best support an optimal workplace unique to each company. My formal education includes an Associates Degree with a focus on Social Services, a Bachelors Degree in Human Development, and the prestigious  Senior Certified Professional certificate issued by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP).
